Company HISTORY

Opdicom Pty Ltd was founded in 2003 by a group of Hewlett-Packard executives with over 50+ years combined experience in the IT industry. The team recognized the growing challenges associated with optical media storage & management, and commenced working on a solution.

After partnering with a worldwide leading IT venture capital advisor, and securing finance via significant private investment, the team began developing and acquiring intellectual property to facilitate product development.

Opdicom initially focused on the “heart and soul” of a conceptual system, and created our Opditracker software. As the software development progressed, Opdicom collaborated with leading technology engineers and manufacturing companies to create the hardware design and specifications.

The end result is our Disc Manager 100 system. The Disc Manager 100 won the prestigious Australia Design Award 2006, which acknowledges new product ingenuity, usefulness and overall aesthetic design. To date, we’ve sold over 430,000 units, which are being used in over 140 countries throughout the world.
