INSTALLATION: opditracker software
How do I change the installation of OpdiTracker to another language?
You will need to completely uninstall OpdiTracker (but not the database), reboot and then reinstall OpdiTracker using the desired language

After installing OpdiTracker, the user has to logon into Windows XP as a guest or user whereas previously this was not required.
OpdiTracker installs the Microsoft .NET framework, which creates an ASP.NET Machine Account and alters the logon process.
Refer to the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 827072 for the cause and resolution of this problem (http://support.microsoft.com).
Installing the latest Microsoft .NET framework updates should fix the issue.

Why did nothing happen when I put the OpdiTracker installation disc into my computer's CD drive?
Check to make sure that you inserted the correct disc and that it is facing the right way in your drive. Then from the Windows Start button, select
Run, and then type D:\setup.exe (where D is your computer's CD-ROM drive letter).
If this does not fix your problem, the installation disc might be faulty.
Either contact our customer support team in Australia via e-mail or phone, or return the Disc Manager 100 to your place of purchase.

How do I network the software and have the unit accessed by more than one user?
The Opditracker software is NOT designed to be “networked”.
While it may be possible to share the database, it is neither supported nor recommended because it could cause conflicts between remote and local users and result in disc inventory management issues.
If you want to transfer the unit between computers (for example, between office and home), you can use the Database options in the Maintenance Wizard (of the OpdiTracker software) to back-up and restore your OpdiTracker database.

I am replacing my old computer and need to install the software on a new computer. How do I retain my database?
To transfer the database from one computer to another:
- Use the OpdiTracker Maintenance Wizard to back up a database
on the existing computer.
- Install the software on the new computer, and run any updates required to make sure that the version of the software is the same on both the new and old computers.
- On the new computer, use the OpdiTracker Maintenance Wizard to restore a database, and load your backed up database onto the
new computer.
- Connect the Disc Manager 100 units to the new computer, and make sure that the units are recognized by the OpdiTracker software. It's also a good idea to verify your units whenever you move them from one computer (or system) to another.

I had to format my hard drive and reinstall the OpdiTracker software. Can I get my data back?
If you have backed up your entire system recently, the best solution is to retrieve and restore this backup. This allows you to return the system to the same state as it was at the time of the last backup. Follow the instructions of your backup application to restore all files from the backup.
If you have a backup of the OpdiTracker database, you can restore this using the OpdiTracker Maintenance Wizard. Run any updates required to make sure that the version of the software is the same as it was at the time of the last backup. Then restore the database to your system.
See the online help for instructions.
If you want to restore just the OpdiTracker database from a backup, it is typically located at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Opdicom\OpdiTracker for Windows XP and Windows 2000 systems.
For Windows Vista, it is under C:\programdata\opdicom\opditracker.
And for Mac OS 10.3.X and above;
it is under /library/applicationsupport/opdicom.
For older Mac versions it is under Users/Shared.
Copy all the contents of this directory to have the database reflect the state at the time of the back up.
Note:
If you have made changes to contents of the database (for example modified Properties or inserted or ejected discs), the related information may be lost. We recommend that you verify your disc titles before using your system again.

Can I use Disc Manager 100 with an Apple
Mac system?
YES. You can use Disc Manager 100 and OpdiTracker on Mac OS X (version 10.1.8 or higher). Two different releases of the application are available, one for all supported releases and another for 10.3 and higher.
The lone exception at this time is the recently released “Leopard” software, which is not compatible with the Disc Manager 100 at this time. We hope to have this “Leopard” version compatible sometime in the near future.
