Troubleshooting: Errors & other messages

What should I do when I get an error message about a corrupt database file?

From the Windows Start menu, select Programs, OpdiTracker,
Database Maintenance. Then click Repair and Run.

It is recommended that if you do not already have a backup saved,
this should be done before proceeding.

I get the error message “Internal error 2738” when running the OpdiTracker set-up for Windows Vista?

Register the vbscript.dll file and then install the OpdiTracker software.

Find the vbscript.dll file. It is generally located in C:\Windows\System32, but it may differ depending on your Vista version.

Next you need to go to start - > accessories and then right-click on the command prompt; and click "run as administrator",

Type "cd C:\Windows\System32" (replace the directory if it is different
for you) and then type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll". It should then confirm that vbscript has been registered. Now install the OpdiTracker for Vista.

I get the error message “Database components missing” on Windows Vista?

Close the OpdiTracker application if running.

Back up your database file OpdiTracker.mdb to a safe location.
(perform a search and look for the file in your hard disk).

If you would prefer to commence with a new database file instead,
simply ignore the prior step above.

Delete the file OpdiTracker.mdb at this location: C:\ProgramData\Opdicom\OpdiTracker
(Please note that the folder is PROGRAM DATA and may
be hidden in most cases)

Now "Start OpdiTracker" and a new “empty” database file will be created
in the location C:\ProgramData\Opdicom\OpdiTracker

If you want to restore the old database, copy the saved file back to the above location, or you can just proceed with the new database.

I get the error message “Database components missing” on Windows XP?

Save your database (located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Opdicom\OpdiTracker and the database is called OpdiTracker.mdb) to somewhere else on your system (i.e. My Documents).

If possible also do a “Back up database” from the “Database tasks”
under the Maintenance option of OpdiTracker.

You will then need to uninstall OpdiTracker (from Add/remove programs in Control Panel).

Reboot your computer, remove the whole directory of Opdicom (located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\).

Then reinstall OpdiTracker.

Once you have reinstalled OpdiTracker, please move your saved database that is in “My Documents” to its correct location of C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Opdicom\OpdiTracker and say "yes" when prompted to overwrite the existing database.

I get the error 2000001 C and the green
light keeps flashing continuously?

The belt that drives the carousel has become disengaged, thereby rendering the unit unable to initialize and also causing the green light flash, indicating an error. This usually happens in cases where the unit has taken a severe blow (perhaps being dropped). It is acceptable for a user to open the unit and place the belt back onto the pulleys.

Refer to the “Belts replacement PDF ” document
with photos and instructions.
