Troubleshooting: Opditracker software
When running OpdiTracker on Windows XP without Service Pack 1, the OpdiTracker folder within the Windows Explorer tree does not expand as expected. Additionally, the plus sign (+) or the minus sign (-) next to the OpdiTracker folder disappears.
At a minimum, please install Service Pack 1 to fix the problem with Windows XP. Opdicom recommends that the latest Service Pack be installed for the OS.

In some installations, the first time online help is displayed (in your internet browser), the contents pane does not appear as expected.
Refresh the content of the browser. Depending on your browser, this may be as easy as pressing F5 on your keyboard or selecting 'Refresh' from one of the menus. This should refresh the Help. Alternatively, close down your internet browser and display the online help again.

Mixing firmware versions in Disc Manager 100 units that are stacked or connected to the same computer may result in unexpected behavior.
Make sure each individual Disc Manager 100 unit has been upgraded to an identical firmware version. The version can be found on the General tab under Unit Properties.

For computers using Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2, viewing OpdiTracker Help may result in Internet Explorer displaying Flash help incorrectly. The following message will appear in the information bar: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for options..."
To display Flash help correctly, click on the information bar, and select "Allow blocked content." Click yes to the following question: "... Are you sure you want to let this file run active content." Alternatively, you can continue to use the help without Flash enabled.

When I browse an image to enter into my properties, it won't subsequently store the CD when I insert it into the Disc Manager 100.
Insert the image by dragging and dropping it into the Image window rather than by browsing, as the image path can't point to the disc that is being stored in the Disc Manager 100.

Why is the Eject option grayed out when I right-click a disc?
The Eject option is disabled for discs that are already ejected. If you believe a desired disc is still inside the unit, run a Verify operation to make sure the database and the contents of the unit match.
This option is also disabled for units that are not currently communicating with the OpdiTracker software (e.g. those that are disconnected, or have lost USB connectivity for some reason).

Does the OpdiTracker software cater for Fast User Switching under Windows XP?
OpdiTracker does not support Fast User Switching under Windows XP at this stage. When the application is installed and running on a PC with Windows XP, you should log off before logging on as a new user rather than using Fast Switching.

Why is the OpdiTracker icon not displayed
in my Windows taskbar?
The OpdiTracker icon is displayed whenever the software is running. If the icon is not displayed, you need to start OpdiTracker before you can access the database or your Disc Manager 100 units.
How to start the OpdiTracker software?
You can start the software in either of the following ways:
- Windows Explorer and navigate to OpdiTracker. Click Please Start the application (in the right window pane) to start the OpdiTracker software.
- From the Windows Start button, select Programs, OpdiTracker, Start OpdiTracker. (Note that selecting the other OpdiTracker options will also start the OpdiTracker software.)
How to stop the OpdiTracker software?
If you want to stop the software for any reason, do the following:
- Right-click the OpdiTracker icon in your taskbar to display
the short-cut menu.
- Click Close, and then click OK.
Can the top of the Disc Manager 100 be removed in the event of a power failure and a need to access a particular disc?
Yes. Although we discourage removal of the top under normal circumstances, in the event of an emergency, you simply:
- Unscrew the two Philips-head screws on the rear side of the unit.
- Grasp the unit firmly, with the disc eject port (front of unit)
facing yourself.
- Pull the top portion of the unit towards yourself and then upward.
Be careful so that you don’t dislodge the enclosed discs from
their carousel slots.
- Remove the desired discs and replace the cover of unit.
